Other Comment: SLOTFEVERSCASINO was friendly and from the first day she felt comfortable with him and his wife. They were a warm loving couple and he explained that the job was open only because his wife wanted to go back to teaching full time. For Christine the days and years flew by and she grew to love her little family at the store, the owner, his wife, and especially their daughter Lori. Maybe it was wrong but she thought of Lori as the daughter she would never have. For her part Lori treated Christine as a close friend...a confidant...telling her things she would never tell her own mom. Lori was the "breath of fresh air" in the tiny store, always laughing, a smile seemed to be permanently etched on her face. Christine knew behind those angelic blue eyes was a mischievous child, always joking even when things got rough. Little things like the "children's hour" in the store; were a treat to Lori as she read to them in silly voices. Christine knew she was everything she was not, pretty, funny, and young. At fifty-one Christine envied her spirit and energy, the joie de vivre she so lacked.
